Balance News is bootstrapped. Revenue comes from optional App Store subscriptions. The product does not run advertising, sell reading data, or accept undisclosed sponsored placement.

Editorial posture

Balance News does not have a newsroom and does not produce original reporting. The product's editorial work is the maintenance of its publisher directory, clustering rules, methodology, and corrections process.
